1950-1964: Ownership transitioned to Walter A. Brown and Lou Pieri
1964-1965: Following Brown’s passing, Marjorie Brown and Lou Pieri assumed control.
1965-1968: Marvin Kratter became the owner.
1968-1969: The franchise was owned by Ballantine Brewery.
1969-1971: Trans-National Communications held ownership.
1971-1975: Ballantine Brewery regained control.
1975-1979: Robert Schmertz owned the team.
1979-1983: Harry Mangurian Jr. took over ownership.
1983-2002: Don Gaston, Alan N. Cohen, and Paul Dupee led the ownership group.
2002-2025: The franchise was acquired by Wyc Grousbeck and his group, Boston Basketball Partners, for $360 million.
2025-Present: In March 2025, Bill Chisholm, founder of Symphony Technology Group and a lifelong Celtics fan, agreed to purchase the team for a record-setting $6.1 billion.
